Terms of Use

End User Licence Agreement (EULA) · Effective date: July 29, 2026 · Version 1.0

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and StitchMePretty&Co ("StitchMePretty", "we", "us") and govern your use of the StitchMePretty website and mobile applications (together, the "Service") — a marketplace that connects clients with independent tailors and seamstresses for custom clothing, alterations, and related services. Please read them carefully. They include a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour, described in section 6.

Zero tolerance, in short

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on StitchMePretty. Content that is obscene, sexually explicit, hateful, harassing, violent, discriminatory, defamatory, deceptive, or otherwise objectionable is prohibited. We remove reported objectionable content and terminate the accounts of users who post it, normally within 24 hours of a report. Every user can flag content and block other users from inside the app.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account and do not use the Service.

We record the date on which you accepted these Terms when you register. If we make material changes, we will ask you to accept the updated Terms before you continue using the Service.

2. Licence to Use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the StitchMePretty app on devices you own or control, and to access the Service for your own personal or business use as a client or tailor. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, resell, sublicense, or create derivative works of the Service, nor use it to build a competing product. We retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including all intellectual property in it.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to sell services, accept payments, or enter into transactions as a tailor. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. The Service is not directed to children under 13.

4. Your Account

  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that happens under your account.
  • One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone, create an account on someone else's behalf without authority, or create a new account to evade a suspension or termination.
  • You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile and associated personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. User Content

"User Content" means anything you submit to the Service: profile details and bios, portfolio images, request descriptions and inspiration photos, design boards and previews, reviews and ratings, chat messages and attachments, stream links, and any other material you upload or transmit.

You keep ownership of your User Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, and distribute your User Content solely to operate, promote, and improve the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must retain for legal or dispute-resolution purposes and for content that others have already lawfully received (for example, a message sent to another user).

You represent that you own or have the rights to your User Content, that it does not infringe anyone's rights, and that it complies with these Terms. You are solely responsible for your User Content. StitchMePretty is not the author of User Content and does not endorse it.

We may screen, filter, refuse, hide, or remove User Content at our discretion, including automatically, but we are not obliged to monitor everything and cannot guarantee that all objectionable content is caught before it is seen.

6. Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content and Abusive Users

StitchMePretty has no tolerance for objectionable content or for abusive users. By using the Service you agree not to create, upload, post, send, or link to content that is, or that a reasonable person would consider to be, objectionable — and you agree not to behave abusively toward other users.

Objectionable content includes, without limitation:

  • pornography, sexually explicit or sexually suggestive material, and nudity that is not directly and appropriately related to a garment fitting
  • any content that sexualises minors, or any depiction of child sexual abuse — we report such material to the appropriate authorities
  • hate speech, or content that attacks, demeans, or promotes discrimination against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or immigration status
  • harassment, bullying, threats, stalking, intimidation, doxxing, or the sharing of another person's private information
  • graphic violence, gore, or content that promotes, glorifies, or instructs in self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, terrorism, or violent extremism
  • content promoting illegal activity, illegal drugs, weapons, or the sale of prohibited or counterfeit goods
  • defamatory, deliberately deceptive, or fraudulent content, scams, phishing, and fake reviews
  • spam, unsolicited advertising, malware, or content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other rights

Abusive behaviour includes, without limitation:

  • sending abusive, hateful, threatening, or sexually harassing messages to another user
  • contacting a user who has blocked you, or evading a block or a ban with a new account
  • deliberate false reporting, review manipulation, payment fraud, or attempting to take transactions off-platform to avoid our protections

Consequences. When we confirm a violation we remove the offending content and eject the responsible user by suspending or permanently terminating their account, without refund and without prior notice. We act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours. Serious violations — in particular any content involving the sexual exploitation of minors or credible threats of violence — result in immediate permanent termination and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

7. Prohibited Conduct

In addition to section 6, you agree not to:

  • break any applicable law, or use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • probe, scan, overload, or interfere with the Service or its security, or attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours
  • scrape, crawl, or harvest data or images from the Service, or use bots or automated means to access it without our written permission
  • use the Service or other users' content to train machine learning or AI models without permission
  • misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or the origin of your work — for example, presenting someone else's garments as your own portfolio

8. Reporting, Blocking, and Moderation

Flagging content. Every piece of User Content in the app — portfolio items, reviews, requests, profiles, and chat messages — has a Report action. Reports reach our moderation team immediately.

Blocking users. You can block any user from their profile or from a chat. Blocking immediately hides that user's content from your feed, prevents them from messaging you, and notifies us so we can review their behaviour. You can see and undo your blocks in Settings → Blocked accounts.

Our response. We review every report and act within 24 hours of receiving it. Where a report is substantiated we remove the content and eject the user who provided it. We may also act without a report where our automated filters or our own review identify a violation. We do not disclose the identity of the person who filed a report.

Urgent concerns. If you believe someone is at risk of harm, contact your local emergency services first, then email us at support@stitchmepretty.com.

9. Marketplace Terms

  • StitchMePretty is a marketplace. Tailors are independent professionals, not our employees or agents. The contract for any garment or alteration is between the client and the tailor.
  • Clients post requests; tailors submit bids. When a bid is accepted, payment is made through the Service and we retain a platform commission on the transaction, disclosed at the time of payment.
  • Tailors are responsible for delivering the agreed work, for their own taxes, licences, and insurance, and for the accuracy of their portfolio and profile.
  • Clients are responsible for the accuracy of measurements, shipping details, and other information they provide.
  • Reviews must reflect genuine first-hand experience. Incentivised, traded, or retaliatory reviews will be removed.
  • Payments, refunds, and shipping are handled through our third-party payment and logistics providers, subject to their terms. Disputes should be raised with us first; we may mediate but are not obliged to become a party to the dispute.

10. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account, remove your content, and refuse further service — immediately and without notice — if you violate these Terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse, or if required by law. Sections concerning User Content licences already granted, disclaimers, liability, and dispute resolution survive termination.

11. Disclaimers and Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of User Content, of any tailor's work, or of AI-generated design previews, which are illustrative only and not a guarantee of the finished garment.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StitchMePretty is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount of commission we received on the transaction giving rise to the claim, or USD 100. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold StitchMePretty harmless from claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your User Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Apple App Store Terms

If you obtained the app from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:

  • These Terms are between you and StitchMePretty only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • Your licence to use the app is limited to a non-transferable licence to use it on any Apple-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
  • Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory non-compliance, and consumer protection claims.
  • Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date and version above. Material changes will be communicated through the Service, and continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
